Architectural Cove Lighting

Our cove lighting collection includes four fixture types that suit different architectural conditions:

• Light bars for concealed indirect uplighting or downlighting within cove recesses
• Knife-edge surface-mount fixtures for floating ceiling applications
• Wall wash fixtures for uniform perimeter illumination
• Wall grazer fixtures for accent lighting that highlights surface texture and material depth

Minimum required cove depth depends on the fixture type and desired optical effect. For example, light bars require sufficient depth to fully conceal the fixture and driver behind the architectural reveal, while knife-edge cove lights mount to the top face of a floating ceiling and require clearance above the fixture for the uplight to reflect.

Our cove lighting catalog features fixtures ranging from 140 to 1,100 lumens per foot, offering everything from subtle accent applications to primary ambient lighting. Output selection depends on ceiling height, surface reflectance, cove geometry and the role the cove lights play in the overall lighting design.

We offer cove lighting fixtures in static color temperatures (CCT) from 2700K to 5000K.

• Warm white (2700K – 3000K) is standard for hospitality, wellness and residential environments
• Neutral to cool white (3500K to 5000K) suits corporate, institutional and healthcare applications

Several fixtures in our collection offer field-selectable CCT, allowing installers to fine-tune color temperature on-site. RGB+W color-changing options are also popular for dynamic color applications in entertainment, fitness and hospitality environments.

Our cove lighting fixtures support a range of dimming protocols, including 0-10V, ELV, TRIAC and MLV. RGB+W fixtures support DMX and wireless Bluetooth Mesh or WiFi control for dynamic color and tuning applications.

Yes. Select products in our catalog are wet location or damp location rated, which are suitable for aquatic facilities, locker rooms, covered exterior soffits and other moisture-exposed environments.

We also offer fixtures rated from IP54 to IP68 to meet code requirements for your project.

Wall wash fixtures mount at or near the ceiling-wall junction, projecting light downward on the wall at a wide angle for uniform illumination across the wall’s surface, which is well suited for corridors, lobbies and ambient perimeter applications.

Wall grazer fixtures mount closer to the wall surface, so the beam skims the wall at a narrow angle, accentuating surface textures and material depth.
